Each month, we will delve into a unique story, meeting live to engage in rich discussions and reflections that illuminate the messages hidden within these timeless narratives.

What to Expect

  • Monthly Live Sessions: Gather with us from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM (Brisbane QLD - GMT+10) on the second Saturday of every month (with a few exceptions to the last Saturday) for a deep dive into each selected myth. These sessions will encourage discussion and connection, allowing us to share personal insights and experiences.

  • Community Access: Become part of a nurturing and intimate community of women who share a passion for myths and personal growth. Our WhatsApp group will remain open throughout the year for ongoing sharing, support, and inspiration.

  • Recorded Sessions: Can’t join us live? No worries! All sessions will be recorded, so you can watch them at your convenience, ensuring you never miss an opportunity for growth.

  • Preparation and Inquiry: Each month, participants will receive details on the featured myth ahead of time, along with a deepening inquiry to reflect on as we prepare for our live discussion. The themes will range widely, focusing on practicing and cultivating authenticity, inspiration, sovereignty, and much more.

Throughout the course, we’ll delve into powerful myths and tales, including The Frog King, The Leopard Woman, Medusa, Tatterhood, The Lindworm, Lady Ragnell, Eros and Psyche, Sky Woman, and more. A detailed lineup of stories will be released as we progress through the course.

January – Begin the year by inviting your fearless nature forward with the Liberian Fairy Tale The Leopard Woman.

 

February – Rediscover your authority and embrace the descent in the Greek Myth of Eros and Psyche.

 

March – In Women’s Month, claim your authenticity with the German tale The Frog King.

 

April – Reconnect with the core of your heart and wisdom through the Danish tale The Lindworm.

 

May – Blossom by reconnecting with the Native American myth of Sky Woman.

 

June – Face the darkness and reclaim power through the Greek myth of Medusa.

 

July – Remember what you’ve exiled through the Norwegian tale of Tatterhood.

 

August – Unveil what women truly desire with the Arthurian legend of Lady Ragnell.

September - Discover the Greek myth of Pandora, a tale of transgression, consequence, and the enduring power of hope.

 

October, November, and December – Stories for these months will be released later in the program and discussed in-depth with course members.

About Your Facilitator

Maria Souza

Maria Souza is a Writer, Mythologist and Educator. Maria is the author of the mythopoetic book Wild Daughters and is a member of the Joseph Campbell Foundation Myth Maker Network. She is the host of the podcast Women and Mythology in which she shares and interprets myths and fairy tales. Maria has been delivering programs on mythology since 2016.​ She has researched and studied mythology under the world-renowned mythologist Dr Martin Shaw. Maria is a Historian who also holds a Master degree in Ecology and Spirituality and an Advanced Training Certificate in Applied Mythology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Originally from Brazil, she has worked for seven years in the Brazilian Amazon with indigenous people and consulted for the UNPFII. She is presently working towards a post-graduate degree in Comparative Mythology.
